Der Kinderladen Humpty Dumpty ist ein kleiner, elterninitiierter Kindergarten in Berlin Schöneberg mit Schwerpunkt auf Bilingualität.
In unseren großzügigen Räumen
The Humpty Dumpty daycare center in Berlin's Schöneberg neighborhood is a small, parent-run kindergarden with a focus on bilingual education.
The kindergarden is located in generously sized premises with two large rooms, two smaller rooms and a small garden at the front. There are currently around 20 children between the ages of 18 months and 5 years. The team of caregivers consists of three female teachers and one male teacher, two of them native German speakers and the other two native English speakers. We follow the immersion approach to bilingual education, with the teachers generally speaking their native language with the children.
Humpty Dumpty sees itself as a community of parents and teachers working together to raise the children. As a result, parents are expected to take an active role in the day-to-day running of the kindergarten, which includes committing themselves to certain duties. On the other hand, parents also enjoy greater opportunities than in other public daycare centers to be involved in decision-making and have a say in the direction and activities of the kindergarten. You can find out further information about us under the various menu points.
If you have other questions that aren't answered on this website, you are more than welcome to send us an email and we will respond as quickly as possible (please bear in mind that all such duties are performed by volunteers and be patient while waiting for a reply). Our preferred means of contact is by email; we would be grateful if you could refrain from telephoning the kindergarten during opening hours or coming by without an appointment, as it disrupts the routine in the center.
